    Window Defender 0.2.0

    The desktop-shooter gets a big combat and quality-of-life update.

    Highlights

    • Punchier combat — every hit now reads at a glance as light, heavy or major
      (flash, screen shake, sound, plus hitstop and a window wobble on big hits).
      All boss attacks have explicit damage tiers, heavy attacks can stagger or knock
      you down — and a built-in safety net means a barrage can never chain-stun you
      to death.
    • Full localization (English / German) with in-game switching and an
      OS-language default on first launch.
    • Performance options for weak hardware — performance profiles, FPS limit,
      render resolution, effect quality, and adaptive quality that auto-tunes to your
      frame rate.
    • Per-user saves — settings as a readable settings.ini, high scores in a
      tamper-evident scores.dat, both stored in your user profile (not the game
      folder).
    • In-game pause menu (ESC) — Resume, Options, Main Menu, Quit.
    • More platforms — hand-designed per-level platform layouts that stand out
      from your desktop.
    • Real Wayland desktop capture on Linux.

    • Wuchtigerer Kampf — jeder Treffer ist auf einen Blick lesbar: leicht,
      schwer oder heftig (Blitz, Screenshake, Sound, dazu Hitstop und ein
      Fenster-Wackeln bei harten Treffern). Alle Boss-Angriffe haben klare
      Schadensstufen, schwere Angriffe können dich zurückstoßen oder umwerfen — und
      eine eingebaute Sicherung sorgt dafür, dass dich eine Salve nie festnageln und
      totstunnen kann.
    • Komplette Lokalisierung (Deutsch / Englisch) mit Umschalten im Spiel und
      OS-Sprache als Standard beim ersten Start.
    • Performance-Optionen für schwache Hardware — Performance-Profile,
      FPS-Limit, Render-Auflösung, Effektqualität und adaptive Qualität, die sich
      automatisch an deine Framerate anpasst.
    • Speichern pro Benutzer — Einstellungen als lesbare settings.ini,
      Highscores in einer manipulationssicheren scores.dat, beides im
      Benutzerprofil (nicht im Spielordner).
    • Pausenmenü im Spiel (ESC) — Fortsetzen, Optionen, Hauptmenü, Beenden.
